AFSA Master Class in Animal-Free Safety Assessment Collaboration
The Animal-Free Safety Assessment Collaboration has developed a first-of-its-kind “Master Class” in Animal-Free Risk Assessment for cosmetics and cosmetic ingredients.
The course covers the entire risk assessment process in 10 modules (8 are currently available). The course is freely available online and can be taken at your own pace.

CTPA Online Learning Platform
CTPA has created this e-learning course on 'Safety Assessment for Cosmetic Products'. The course consists of the following seven modules, each delivered by industry experts.
- Overview of the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR)
- Key toxicological principles in cosmetic safety assessment
- Local toxicity (skin irritation, eye irritation, skin sensitisation and phototoxicity)
- Systemic toxicity (repeated dose toxicity, genotoxicity/mutagenicity/carcinogenicity and reproductive toxicity)
- Packaging, microbiology, stability and cosmetovigilance
- Safety assessment of fragrances and botanical ingredients
- Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) for cosmetic safety
The course is soon going to be updated with the following new modules: 'The CPSR perspective from the enforcement authorities', 'Safety assessment of nanomaterials', 'Principles of environmental safety', 'Environmental hazards and exposure assessment'
The training is an overview of cosmetic safety assessment, it doesn't focus only on NAMs and NGRA

NURA Training
NURA (NAM Use for Regulatory Application) is a free training resource aimed at expanding the use of non-animal methods in regulatory toxicology. The Physicians Committee hosts various training types, from single hour long webinars to extended multi-session webinars on a focused topic, such as AI Use in Regulatory Application, Carcinogenicity, PBPK, etc. NURA is based in the United States but often addresses international regulatory guidelines.
