Genotoxicity: Improving the Predictive Capacity of the In Vitro Genotoxicity Testing Battery: Improving External Metabolic Systems to Better Reflect the Human Situation, as well as Realistic Exposure Scenarios.
Objective
This project’s objectives are to:
- Select candidate chemicals suitable to demonstrate that a more realistic mix of cofactors improves genotoxicity predictions
- Conduct proof-of-concept studies using the selected chemicals for with genotoxic potential is known to be impacted by Phase 2 metabolism (bioactivated or detoxified)
- Verify that the predictive capacity of an In Vitro genotoxicity assay is improved by optimizing the metabolic supplement for the liver metabolic system, later also for skin
