Genotoxicity:  Development of a Novel Skin-Based Photogenotoxicity Assay

This project is looking to develop a sound method to fill the gap relating to the requirements defined in the SCCS NoG in relation to photogenotoxicity testing. The project’s objectives are to:

1. To integrate the 3D skin phototoxicity assay (OECD TG 498) with the reconstructed skin micronucleus (RSMN) assay. 
2. Demonstrate method feasibility and reproducibility.
3. Conduct case studies with a known In Vivo photogenotoxin and a known In Vivo nonphotogenotoxin.
